Omfang

This document specifies guidelines and requirements for design and documentation of offshore structures. This document is applicable to all type of offshore structures made of steel with a specified minimum yield strength less or equal to 500 MPa. For steel with higher characteristic yield strength, see Annex A .This standard also covers other materials, such as aluminium for helideck structures and grout for jacket structures. Structures made of aluminium is covered by NORSOK N-001:2020 beyond what is covered in Annex F. Structures made of concrete is covered by NS-EN ISO 19903 [2] in accordance with NORSOK N-001:2020.
